I really like wide bois (even thought I only have one, the atlas) and I want some recommendations for wide bois. I have look at the wangle, but it’s not as wide as I would like. Does anybody have ones they like that are wide?
umbra
The Manatee by CLYW is pretty wide. It plays fine but just isn’t my cup of tea.
akita
Keep in mind, preferably 60 and under brand new lol.
What’s the minimum to quality as “wide” in your book?
48mm
also, is the 1to1 a good option?
i do not like wide yoyos, so i cannot ‘recommend’ any. but, the qubit seems popular and fits your budget.
i’ll qualify with this, the direwolf by g2 is an amazing yoyo for its size, shape and width… outside of your budget. but, for someone like me that doesn’t like that style of throw, that is a great yoyo.

As always, let me know if I missed some.
My favorite wide yoyos are the following:
- Trash Can (available via bst only)
- Umbra (which I designed, out of stock, unfortunately, but if you see a used one go get it, it’s great)
- 543 (out of stock, out of price range probably)
- Akita (played one for a bit at yoyoclub and it’s awesome, pricy though)
I think my top picks would be:
The Umbra
Monster Edge
Edge Ultimatum
Qubit
1To1
Akita (if I could get one for 60 bucks lol)
My only really wide yoyo is a Bgrade Super Wide which I really like
Also: RCS Ouroboros (49.9 mm wide) and RCS Stoopid Capitalism Day Tree (50).
EDIT: Haven’t thrown either, but wanted the add to the list. The latter is expressly for fun per RCS. I’d check out Dylan Kowalski’s review for kicks.
