I learned a lot of the basics with my Barracuda and it’s the one that I keep in my bag and carry to work every day, though I have never been very fond of the color (royal blueish/yellow-gold). Got to talking yoyos with a guy at work who played when he was in school and was interested in getting back into it/trying unresponsive play, so I gifted him my old faithful.
It’s a special throw to me and I’d like to keep one in my collection, so I was wondering if anyone had an older model they’d be willing to part with (I like some of the older colorways, and very much prefer the logos on some of the special edition/vintage ones to the more current ones)?
I’m happy to do cash, trade, or a combination of the two of anyone is willing to help me out!
Hi, how are you? Arthur here. I’m just dropping by to wish you good luck in your search for a Duncan Barracuda in a special or very flashy colorway. The Barracuda, as you yourself said, is a much-loved yo-yo by those who played it and especially by collectors, so getting your hands on one of the most eye-catching and beloved pieces is a difficult task! The easiest editions to find are the solid colors, followed by the splash colors, and then the special signature editions. To give you an idea, major collectors estimate that the Barracuda Drew Tetz edition, aka Barradrewda, mint in box, can reach around $500. So prepare your wallet well and start searching more thoroughly with collectors for these models, because it won’t be easy. Until then, best regards and good luck!
