LF: CLYW Peak or Peak 2

Looking for a CLYW Peak or Peak 2 for a reasonable price! Preferably would just like to buy!

For reference: Peak 2 is not close to the original (and allegedly is much worse). Also Peak is crazy expensive

Peak 2 most very pathetic attempt at resurrecting old design of all time in yoyo ā€¦true awful yoyo

Man this is unfortunate to hear that they donā€™t play similar. I might just close this thread up.

Consider getting a Plastic Peak if you want a similar experience for not a quadrillion dollars. You could also try out some of the old yoyojam designs like the dm2 which have a similar shape. Closest possible thing you could get is one of the AT Design Lab yoyos probably? Or maybe a Wooly Marmot, but thatā€™s just a teensy peak.

I will look into the plastic ones thank you!

The metal peakhand plays much closer to the peak imo, but with a tighter response and a bit more float

I havenā€™t been able to find a peakhand anywhereā€¦ are they still available?

They had only been available at worlds but they claimed to be releasing them online ā€œsoonā€

I have a Peakhand Iā€™m not in love with (Salmon Fade)ā€¦

Get yourself Peak 2, I believe you will not be disappointed.
I have always enjoyed the throw it has some amazing colorway splashes.

By the way I believe the Peak 2 is at least consistent on its manufacturing. Those OG Peaks are so different from each run and each paint job and anodization. The OG Ti peak is the best version of an OG peak because it is consistent and by Luftverk and people will say it is awful alsoā€¦. Everyone has an opinion this was mine.

Peak 2 is a great yoyo, kinda surprised by the negativity here. You wont be disappointed based on price and availability.

If you want a real treat though, find a TiPeak. I believe the titanium Peak would be my desert island throw, my absolute favorite in the collection.

What about the AtDesign MoNo?

I have been very tempted to track one down, I have a lot of throws that shape and size so I have been hesitant. I have been seriously tempted by all of their throws.

I actually do have one, but Iā€™ve never played a real Peak and havenā€™t seen a good comparison.

I have a couple, it plays pretty different than the Peak imo. I think the Peak 2 is closer to the Peak compared to the MoNo. I think itā€™s definitely worth tracking down a Peak 2 if you want the closest thing to the Peak without actually getting one. Honorable mention goes to the ILYY Lynx as well. Itā€™s a toss up between the Lynx and the Peak 2 for whatā€™s closest.

There are rumors of a p3ak coming sometime next yearā€¦. Iā€™ll vouch for the peak 2, I have one and I enjoy it, definitely different than other CLYWs but still great and relaxed like all the others

The Lynx is beautiful too.

I would ask ā€œWhat do people like about the ā€˜Peakā€™ā€, but thatā€™s a rather silly question.
peopleā€™s opinions on yoyos are all unique, something that one person may like about a yoyo, another despisesā€¦ from what I see, it seems like the ā€œPeakā€ is a rather awful yoyo. itā€™s unstable, it snags, it has such a ā€œpresenceā€ on the string, itā€™s impossible to forget itā€™s there; you have to pay great attention to it, you cannot play mindlessly. so now I ask you: ā€œWhat do you like about the ā€˜Peakā€™ā€ā€¦ what do you specifically like about this thing. Iā€™d seriously like to know; I just canā€™t wrap my head around what some people may like about the ā€œPeakā€.

I am genuinely curiousā€¦ what do you like about the ā€œPeakā€?
