Let’s talk craft beer (for those legally able to drink)

The shadow makes that yoyo next to the can look like it has a semicircular shape.

Also, I’ve really been digging this hazy trend lately. How was that one?

I am also stoked about the trend since it’s the only good kind of IPA (fight me). This one was a solid 8/10. Modern Times makes a lot of good stuff and their limited releases are top notch.

If you can ever find one from a brewery here in southern Arizona called Hop Chowdah by Goldwater Brewing, please treat yourself. It is my second favorite beer ever.

Did you catch the bouquet?

Untappd says none of that beer within 75 miles of me. I’m in Tampa so it makes sense. Thankfully there are 88 breweries in the bay area (according to thebrewerybay.com), so I’ll have to settle.

Also, everyone should check out getpubpass.com and if you live in one of those cities, take advantage of quite the deal on beer. Shoot, even if you just visit one of those places, it would probably be worth it.

Excuse me if this has already been mentioned on here, my quick search didnt yield any results.

Good looking out, @Grunt!
Ok, you asked for a fight, so here it is:
THE ONLY good IPA, whadaya, nuts? The ENTIRE point of IPA is to be overhopped to survive long sea voyages. “Hazy” has nothing to do with it. Strong hops favor-flav with enough bite to clench your jaw, yes, but “HAZINESS”? nuh uh.

I have brewed crystal clear IPAs with IBUs in the 90s and circa 8-9% alcohol. Yes, hazy IPA is a trend. Yes, they taste good and have more “body”, but THE ONLY GOOD IPA? I think NOT, sir!

PS, just out of curiosity: I have recently had an “epiphany” of sorts. I have a theory that those who prefer high ibu beers also enjoy ginger, cinnamon and other “biting” flavors. Is this true for y’all?

I like beer… I like beer a lot… Last night I drank this one!

What’s the name of the place? My girl and I are planning a trip to Humboldt, and I’m a huge fan of fish and chips with cider, it’s pretty much all I at when I was on vacation to Salem Ma. last year, they have a local cider called “Far from the tree” and it’s delicious and crisp, I jus wish I knew how to obtain some :weary:

Jack’s. It’s on the bay in Eureka at the end of the board walk.

Just a heads up, there is a pretty substantial homeless population in Eureka. The vast majority roam the streets in the old town district, which is where Jack’s is located. Hide your valuables out of sight and lock your car. They are typically pretty quiet, but car breakins have been common enough to take preventative measures.

They don’t have bad prices at all, and now I’m starving. I know the drill, most of Cali seems like that nowadays sadly.

Just saw a bottle of 2019 Utopias at my local booze emporium- first time ever seeing a bottle in person- but I couldn’t pull the trigger. I was totally not expecting a $200+ price for a bottle…

Deatheaters suck, bro. #DA4LIFE

Looks like you have a MUCH better selection in your neck of the woods.

Got into some dark stuff tonight

Let’s talk about that Sticky Maple, shall we? I’m intrigued. Tell me more.

Tastes exactly like it sounds. Heavy mouth feel with a sweet maple finish. Pretty boozy with the bourbon flavor, but you get so much coffee/caramel notes it’s ridiculous. Great after dinner beer.
