Let’s talk Cerakote!

Well that might break a new record for selling out

Green, Orange and Pink are what’s available. They used to have yellow but not any more.

That looks incredible!

I’m in for a Pink/Green UV Swarm Cerakote Top Deck. Anyone else? They sure went quickly!

If anyone got one, hit me up. I’ll pay for it. I was refreshing like a madman and I still missed it.

Ya know, I don’t disagree with ya. Paying an exorbitant amount of money for a “special edition” has never really sat well with me, given any finish can be damaged pretty easily and will fade over time. I’d find it silly if anyone tried to sell anything I coat for an insane amount, and would probably try to discourage it.

I missed out! :disappointed:
I’m sure there will be more Top Decks coming. :crossed_fingers:

my reasoning has nothing to do with prices, exorbitant or popular, but with the aluminum coloring processes. It is not certain that every finish is ruined or fades over time, a color trapped in the metal, with anodic coloring will always remain as it is if sealed well and in the event of an impact it will only be ruined at the points of contact. A color placed on top without the possibility of anchoring, on the other hand, is subject to any type of wear from contact and/or external agents and in the event of a collision, the damage will almost always concern a much larger portion of the contact area itself

Looks good… but it’s still on a Fat Tire… let’s see it on a Panorama or Kuntosh huh?

I want a red (any kinda red) Cerakote Thorn, and a white Free Solo. This blue is pretty sick though it gives me 50’s car vibes even though it’s a guitar color

Actually it is an automotive color. Fender used GM colors

I totally forgot this and I’m a big classic GM guy, embarrassing lol. I knew it looked familiar though :joy:

And how is your pickup coming along?

Most of the bodywork is done! Little bits and pieces to bondo and block sand still, but it’s dang close to being ready for primer and paint!

Have you tried the FT 20/20? Big improvement over the OG FT. The matte baby blue Cerakote is gonna be REALLY nice. I do agree a Cerakote Pano is gonna be incredible though.
