Let’s talk 3D printing

Fair point. I know you have thoughts on diamondback is it worth it if my abrasive printing is minimal?

If you don’t print abrasives I would not bother. Now you will want to consider that abrasives includes things like glow in the dark and even glitter.

What’s everyone’s preference around build plates? I started on a glass bed which had its good and bad on my ender 3. Is I use a textured pei plate. Anyone have any thoughts on build plates they like to use. I’ve seen like cool plates and various coated plates for all kinds of different functions mostly around abs and engineering stuff that needs high temps

I have 29 plates. It’s a problem. If a company comes out with a new kind or style I’m there. I also just made my own recently for the first time. Out of all of them for regular PLA prints nothing beats smooth non textured PEI that you then scuffed up with a red scuff pad. Second best is wham bam systems PEX plates, which happen to be the best to TPU.

I really like the Wham Bam smooth pei plate.

This is more of a vague proof of concept to get the initial idea out of my system but I have… worse? better? ideas on this.

This needs to be a whole series! Design elements of the yoyo influenced by the game.

I’ve been entranced with the whole Cyber Deck trend and am dabbling in electronics so I will probably make some other horrible yoyo creations :joy: I’ve got more stuff on the way.

Well dang I think it’s the first YoYo to play Doom! Love it!

I titled my YouTube first yoyo running Doom but to be honest I didn’t google first. :joy: it’s definitely the first freehand cap running doom though I guarantee that.

Edit. I have verified that this is indeed a first.
