It’s not simple, it’s even trivial if only a programmed CNC machine needs to do it, like a CNC embroidery frame (It even does it in color since they work with dozens of shades of threads at the same time.).
Are we talking about anodizing? Do you think the master craftsmen who hand-enamel the “grand feu” porcelain dials of high-end watches do it? One by one? It doesn’t really work that way.
Of course, quality control—you can do that on every single product—takes time, like packaging, shipping, and everything else, but work is work, we should do something, right? But it doesn’t seem to me like we’re talking about impossible tasks that take months.
Where did you read that it would be a detailed and accurate analysis?
An analysis is one thing, the expression of a concept is another.
Sure, to make the bearing seat, the return system groove, and the axle seat thread, you have to rework each individual piece, but to put it on the lathe spindle you have next to you and have it do it all again… or do the magical elves of the enchanted forest do it for you with their expert hands!!!
What I’m saying is that your work, like all work, is not simple, or free from many problems, but neither is it (and I’m not referring to OD but in general) the “mystical miracle” that I’ve read about various times.
I’m well aware of the cost of purchasing and maintaining certain machines (hundreds of thousands of dollars) and the high level of expertise required to use them. But this applies to you as well as to those who make, say, hydraulic pipe fittings (objects that require just as much precision, quality control, etc., because they must guarantee perfect sealing at dozens and dozens of bars of pressure and significant operating temperatures)… except that I’ve never read or heard any epic praise or appreciation for these manufacturers. In the yo-yo world, however, it seems this is almost deserved.
