Well, it’s almost impossible to guess…

Guys… you’re such complainers!
You should be grateful for the chance to get a Peak, instead of being so nitpicky about minor details like numbering or the finish.

On one hand, yeah, any kind of Peak is better than no Peak. On the other, I will be grateful when I get one.

Oh dang that’s in 2 days!!!
Maybe, just maybe (and with a bit of luck) I stand a chance to get myself into deep trouble with wifey

I would be grateful for a chance.

This colorway slaps

I don’t know if you’re referring to me, maybe I expressed myself poorly. I meant that if we had done a survey of the most likely colorways for a second run, we would never have guessed right, and most likely we wouldn’t have even considered this one, so good for them, they managed to make an original choice, a nice surprise, if you will, in a rare colorway nonetheless.
That said, still on my side, I agree that it’s a great option for those who have never owned one, and for this very reason I’ll happily leave the Legacys to others, given that I own two Peaks, and they’re more than enough for me.

I wasn’t referring to you specifically,I was speaking generally. I see a lot of complaints about the Legacy Peak from dissatisfied people, and honestly, I don’t get it. Personally, I’m happy that new races are coming out, whether I manage to get one or not. Congrats on your Peaks—you’re lucky to have two!

I like to think that we’ve had—and will have—chances to get one in the near future (even if the page ends up freezing with the counter at zero and we can’t even add it to the cart;)

You have to stay positive!

I totally agree with what you say, I’m also very happy that people can have the things they want, the possibility of using them, appreciating them… in fact one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen created was @codinghorror 's project… the Ti-Vayder. Precisely for this reason, because it didn’t create yo-yos but it gave so much happiness to hundreds of people.

The Ti Vayder was a brilliant and generous project!
Unfortunately, I had to sell my most valuable yo-yos (including my Ti Vayder #20 and a Peak Sebby)to raise quick cash after a car accident a couple of years ago That’s why I’m hoping to get one again without spending a fortune—after all, dreaming is free
It would be amazing to have a Peak project where they produced 500 or even 1,000 units!
The originals would remain just as valuable, and almost everyone could enjoy the ā€œPeak feelā€ and add one to their collection!
But I don’t think that’s going to happen, and people will likely remain frustrated at not being able to get their hands on one due to high demand and low production.

I will make a bold request for a D bearing Peak. OD is familiar with the machining process for that type of hardware. I would legit be interested in purchasing a Peak D if that ever happens in the distant future

A Peak’d?

There is sooo much missing from your analysis starting with ā€œonly need to be machined for bearing/response seatā€. I love the ā€œonlyā€ in there. It’s soo easy!

Equating one part of the machining process to the entire thing certainly makes it sound a lot faster! But there’s still 2nd op, anodising, QC, and assembly. Even if they’re all done in parallel, it’s the slowest one that determines the maximum throughput; not the fastest. And you can’t just get up and walk away from QC and assembly, as those are done by hand…

I’m reminded of this

Sounds easy, right?

I spend a lot of time in machine shops now.

It’s amazing anything gets made at all tbh, some of the processes are mind boggling. There is so much room for error in ever step of every process.

And as I understand it, yo-yos have one of the tightest machining tolerances of anything you could make

Humans are capable of incredible things.

Man i really just want to try a peak, legacy or OG someday to experience the magic. I’ll just keep crossing my fingers that they do a larger run sometime in the future so i can snag one. I think i might like the pink and green even more than the 28S version.

Pretty much, with the exception of like, integrated circuit chips…
