KIM 23 - Mir & Miri Kim - The Miracle Reborn!

KIM23-FEATURED

If you haven’t heard the Kim siblings are changing the game of yoyo as reigning World champions (in their respective divisions) – Mir Kim, the 1A World Championship champ, and Miri Kim, the Women’s Division titleholder in 2023. Both of their performances from the 2023 World YoYo Contest are absolutely mind blowing and to win they used their signature model the Miracle!

Introducing the new KIM 23: maintaining the essence of their original Miracle but comes at a more affordable price point. While the Miracle is an amazing and powerful yoyo but with 7075 aluminum and brass weight rings under the polycarbonate shell it comes at a premium price. By replacing the 7075 aluminum and brass rim weight with a full 6061 aluminum body material, they’ve made it accessible to all with a still impressive level of power and performance.

Comparing KIM 23 to Miracle it is just slightly smaller in diameter but nearly identical weight, width, and shape. Thanks to its polycarbonate rim it is comfortable to hold and offers protection to both your own hands while throwing or the yoyo when hitting a hard surface. What is most impressive though is the real power and performance. The KIM 23 can literally handle anything and it is an amazing option for anyone looking to get a real spin time power house that is also fun to play!

I got one when they went on sale at yo-yo factory the weekend after worlds just because I was still riding a high from watching Mir and Miri Kim‘s performance. I was actually really pleasantly surprised with how it plays when I got it because it was such an impulse buy. Long spin times very stable. Nice float good feel on the string, I kept finding it returning back to my hand after picking up other throws. I took it to club and other people agreed I t’s a really solid entry. Also, I bashed the crap out of it on the sidewalk and other than roughing up the polycarb rim, the yo-yo plays just as well as it did previously. High marks from me, and I have tried a lot!

I’m really enjoying it. Bit of quickness, doesn’t have a heavy feel and pop’s easily into horizontal. Easy to to maneuver and stable. Definitely not the Miracle but similar feel in the sense it’s not rim heavy in feel. It’s not going anywhere, this and the Abyss are always nearby and getting more play time than anything else. I couldn’t decide which color combo I liked more and still can’t. Also highly recommend the Abyss, if they do it in all black I for sure will grab another

Not sure if it’s Mir Kim or just the uniqueness of the yoyo that makes it intriguing. I want to try one out. Not sure what color Id get. Maybe black, I usually don’t like drizzle but the clear polycarb with it looks cool.

Thanks for the answers anyone, I wanted the Miracle from when it is out but a bit far from my price range, this one seems a good “excuse” to have something similar to it, the yoyo is super interesting and I like the rims a lot, also the shape seems great for playing (well look at the Kim family).
Will take one very very soon finally, so curious!
