Keep a signatures on a yoyo

I just got a yoyo signed recently and I don’t want it to rub off. Is there anything I can do to make it stay on?

Yes, don’t use the yo-yo ever again. It is now a display piece.

What yo-yo is it and where was it signed?

You can use a fixative lacquer that is used to protect drawings.

I went to this event in Berkly and I saw this plastic yoyo for sale so I got it signed by Anthony Rojas.

Don’t rub it…

…. Or even better yet here’s a good idea for you>

Go to shop that does creative printing. Ask the guy behind the counter to take a digital image of Anthony’s signature.

Upload the digital image to his computer. Generate a rubber stamp with that exact sign on it. By the rubber-stamp in a black ink pad from the print shop.

Every year the day before Christmas, get out your ink pad and your autograph stamp in stamp your yo-yo to look as good as new for the coming year.

Don’t forget to send Anthony a Christmas card thanking him for allowing you to use his signature. Because if you don’t, he may just lawyer up and sue you for forging his signature without written permission.

Something like that…

Clear nail polish?

Since the yoyo is plastic I would be reluctant to try either of those. Maybe take it apart and apply a small amount of whatever one you have on a small patch of the inner surface to see if it affects the plastic at all.

Hmm yeah I just did some reading and nail polish was a bad suggestion, not because it will damage the plastic but some people say it will yellow over time. Clear coat for painting miniatures or RC cars would be the safest bet.
