What’s your favorite memory from a Yoyo contest? Either as an attendee or a competitor

In the Facebook comments Paul Han mentioned you might be a lakers fan due to the purple and yellow colorway. Was that intentional? If so did you think you might offend east coast players particularly ones in and around Boston? Totally asking for a friend not for anyone affiliated with Yoyoexpert.:joy:

Hi Katie and Eric! :waving_hand:

My question for Katie is: what do you think is an important component that young/less experienced yoyoers often miss when starting out competing? Also I know you often teach and mentor many players, so what do you think about the switch from sport to pro? What is the most effective way to make that jump?

You can choose one of them haha :)))

thank you!! -Shterna

What do oyu think about the band I Prevail?

Congratulations on your signature yoyo Katie!

My question is: How much has your life changed or been shaped through yoyoing competitively, and from becoming a National Champion?

What’s your favorite part of going to a contest? Like when you think of past contests you’ve gone to or participated in what stands out in your mind.

How did you get started yo-yoing? First yo-yo?

How did you prepare your kids so well for Cal states? Also thank you for signing my yoyo. Also who has been the most influential person in your yoyo career that has helped you Improve as a yoyo player.

Hi Katie, it’s Jeff! I know it’s been awhile, but I’m curious how gifted some of the kids you’ve been training are compared to when you trained me. With some of the stuff I’ve seen, I’m sure they blew right passed me just like you did XD Can’t express enough how proud I am of you, look forward to seeing your continuous success <3

What was the trick you landed and made you realise " Hey, I am good at this!"?

Thought process that went into designing your signature yoyo?

Katie…. If you were next up on stage at a major Contest, and you were very thirsty, and you mentioned that out loud >>> and 2 people extended their hands towards you: one with a Classic Coke with Cane sugar, and the other with a can of Pepsi, sweetened with High Fructose sugar>>>

Which would you reach for?

Hello Katie! Owen Here!

My question is what is your practice schedule and how do you hold yourself accountable to it?
