The real reason there’s no Half Life is that nobody at Valve can agree what to do with it. They want a technical innovation to base it around, but all we have is… VR.
The bi-metal situation is quite different. It’s a low-priority high-effort product.
They should just do what Turning Point does and make every possible variation of their existing yoyos. Inner ring Ranier, outer ring steel Ranier, outer ring titanium Ranier, etc

True story. And any 6061 Side Effect yoyo is bimetal too because Side Effects are 7075
