Is the YYF Dream worth the price tag?

I’ve come to realize that I really want a TI dream. I’ve been in the search for an extremely durable (Ti) and super fast yoyo and the dream seems to fit my match perfectly. Plus I’ve always been a huge fan of YYf and want to get my hands on my first TI yoyo.

Only question my wallet keeps asking me is it worth the $300 price tag? I regret missing out on the ingegogo package and I already have a Space Cowboy, which in its own is an amazing yoyo and its half the price.

I’m trying to sell some stuff to gather up money but once I get it, is it worth blowing it all on a $300 yoyo?

I would say yes.

I have the aluminium version and its my favorite.

And I’ve heard ti version is better.

I own both the AL Dream and the TI Dream. To be honest, I think I like the AL dream a lot more, its smaller, very agile and stable. Is the TI worth the $300 price tag, maybe. But you could get an al dream for less. and it plays amazingly. to answer your question. It probably isn’t wise spending $300 on just one yoyo. With 300$ you could get a ton of yoyos, or just 2-3 really amazing yoyo’s.

AL Dream is the business…

You could probably find a Ti dream soon enough on the BST for around $200

I completely agree, I’d rather have 2-3 amazing yo-yos instead of one $300 one. The Al Dream has been on my radar as well. Titanium sounds nice, but $300 to spend on multiple throws sounds nicer imo.

Personally, I think it is a darn fine yo-yo and it plays great IF you want a speedy yo-yo… which it looks like you do. I would highly recommend getting the raw version instead of the blue one. I did not like the finish on it.

As for the price, I actually touched on that in my review. It think the Ti Dream would have been great at $200. At $300 it is in an extremely crowded field and it is not super rare like the other two big name titaniums that hit the market at the same time so there is no sense of urgency to purchase one. Also, the people that really wanted a Ti Dream picked up one. The crowdfunding campaign was a much better deal. After you factor in all the bonus stuff you could get with the Ti Dream you ended up getting a titanium yo-yo for a steal.

At the end of the day, it is your call. I have not played an Al Dream so i don’t know which is better as far as performance is concerned. You might look at picking up an Al Dream for cheap, play testing the heck out of it to see if the design meets your needs and then picking up the more expensive titanium version if it is what you want. What’s the worst that happens, you end up picking up two YYF for your collection instead of one.

In my opinion, only an opinion, it’s not worth 300 bucks. I have owned one…sold on bst forum for 180 bucks. I crowdfunded and got the whole dream package for 200.

Where can I find an Aluminum dream? Feel free to PM me

there arent even any splashed ones yet

It’s Ti… So yeah…

I,have an aluminum dream. Lol

who else has an opinion? I’m really on the edge here of looking to pick one up.

It crushes every aluminum I’ve played except a sleipnir. The only thing I think is better is a draupnir but the titanium dream feels more special. It is extremely fast but is comfortable at all speeds. It has ridiculous, laughably great spin times and just doesn’t tilt. I’d get it raw of I were you.

Definitely buy a $200 dollar one from the BST. I wouldn’t buy a $300 dollar made in China. (Just my opinion before flame.)

I have tried both and I would say, go with a Draupnir and an Aluminum dream. But if you don’t want a Draupnir, just get an aluminum dream. A while back I spent a lot of time testing both back to back and I actually had to have people remind me which one was which. They are both great but the Ti Dream really isn’t worth the extra $150 if you buy one on the BST. Definitely not worth an extra $250 when you can pretty much get the same thing for $50.

Ten Four on that. Considering One Drop and that Luftverk both came in under the 300 dollar mark…and they’re not made in China. They were both made where labor cost are significantly higher.

I don’t think any yoyo over $200 is worth it.

Rightly said even though for me anything over 150$ is not worth it.

Bumping for more opinions.
