Your original question is, can there be too many choices and too many disappointments?
Having seen it both ways from amazing choices to almost no choice, I would say that lots of choice is much nicer for the buyers.
There are two ways to look at the “choices”. I am guessing you are saying that from a collector’s point of view, you could go broke trying to get every new release. That’s true! But i love some of my micro-brew yoyos and I think it is amazing to be able to have a Monkeyfinger evil, a Madhouse 5150, the FoxlandPrecision HoneyBadger, Dif-e-yo… the list goes on. To me, these are great playing yoyos that the competition in the market place has created.
When the manufacturers are trying to come up with the next, best thing, you are bound to get some amazing throws and some turkeys.
