I recently purchased a TK flying camel off the BST and I noticed something about its wooden axle sleeve… see if you notice it too…
Bottom is a brand new TK wooden axle sleeve. Top is the one I pulled from the existing (well loved) flying camel.
See, the universe prefers a concave bearing , not flat! PROOF POSITIVE!! It’s science!

The universe doesnt have to. If I get a flat bearing…I WILL change it.

I could make you one out of aluminum so it always stays flat.

I love flat bearings.
I love it how they induce tears and make every trick harder and make every yoyo perform worse overall.
Flat bearings are great.

This is why I prefer responsive play, too.
By the same logic, the universe prefers dirty, gritty bearings and worn out response pads.

I don’t know why they do, but I leave them in. Never had an issue with how they play as is, but I will admit that I’ve never bothered to try them with any sort of centering bearing to compare.
