Identify the wood

I know what 3 out of 4 of these are. But go ahead and test your knowledge.

I don’t know what the third one is. I can tell you you didn’t nail all 4 of them though.

#3 looks like white oak to me. Feel denser?

Well the thing is there is a white oak in the picture, and it looks way different by my eye. I know wood can look a lot different but I’m no expert and I know there are some here. It’s a 2015 eH, I don’t know what options were available.

2014-15 eH were unfinished white oak. (2012-13 were red oak, 2016 were bubinga, wenge, ebony, and zebrano, and 18 were ash/maple).

All the TMBR production stuff from the last year has been finished in a plant-based 0 VOC oil/wax, which definitely gives them a different sheen. I loved the natural patina the unfinished eH’s took on, but it’s also nice throwing a wood yo-yo for 8 months and having it look mostly the same lol.

@edhaponik - How many ebony, three?

Yeah, pretty sure there are 3 out there. Although my email records are telling me 4, so second guessing.
