hey guys i just cleaned my wedgies bearing and i did what i was instructed and hey now its tug responsive
i cleaned it with some fresh mineral spirits blew it out
i did notice that it wouldnt spin when i blew air into it but it did take all of the spirits off
put one poquito drop of thin lube on it and then i found out about the tug responsive ness
any ideas on how to fix it?
I think you didn’t dry it well. Put it atop a pencil and flick the bearing to make it spin, this usually dries it out.
k ima cleen it again tomorrow and try it
I have a lot of experience with Doug’s ceramic bearings. Once they are cleaned and lightly lubed (do not play them dry), they need a lot of play to become unresponsive. It has to do with the nature of ceramic bearings. They need to be broken in. Get a solid 5 or 6 hours of play on the bearing as is, and let us know how it’s doing.
Yep, I hated my CKK at first but after a week of just playing with that the bearing spun for like 26 seconds on a flick.
