I like my yo-yos like I like my blood cells... (A Blood Cell, RBC, and Plasm Appreciation Thread)

Admittedly haven’t read through the whole thread - tried to follow along to most of it. Has anyone else had the 2 part halves start separating? I noticed the “crack/gap” getting wider. I’m not sure how they are “stuck” together - I just squeezed them back - but curious if anyone else has had an issue. I don’t recall hitting it on anything.

I tried to separate mine because I got some condensation inside while dying it and I couldn’t even figure out how to get it open lol. Ended up using desiccant and hot air because I couldn’t pop it open.

Mine seem to be trying to separate and as I squeeze them back together they make a popping/cracking sound. They will stay for a bit then I’ll notice it again.

For clarity - I’m not itching for a replacement or refund - I’m enjoying the throw. Was just curious how the parts were held together and if anyone else had a similar issue.

I had this happen to mine after a smack on the floor. Trying to squeeze it together gave a snap but still left a noticeable crack. I unscrewed the halves and one at a time laid them on the carpeted floor with the bearing seat facing up, and slowly pressed down on the edges increasing pressure until it gave a final snap. It didn’t take much but it was more than I could squeeze with my bare hands.

They have a ridge and are supposed to click together. If it’s separating by itself you might try superglue or something similar; but if it doesn’t solve the issue I’d like to get a replacement for you (after my replacements arrive)

Same, had a good BONK on the hardwood, separated a bit, but I was perfectly able to click it back together, hasn’t been a problem since.

Thanks for the info - I’ll email you if it keeps doing it. I’ll also try a bit more pressure to push it back together like @Slestak75 stated.

Appreciate the quick responses and excellent customer service.

I have one b grade halve that’s separated partly on its own but it’s also a b grade so I’m very aware it wasn’t gonna be perfect. Otherwise my a grade and other b grade are perfect

Hello everyone, hope all is well!

Can anyone refer me to where I can get a fixed blank for the Plasm?

I’m feeling edgy today :yoyo:

I just fill my MR85 bearing with some 2-part epoxy. Works like a charm.

Had both of mine popping out recently. Haven”t gotten any cracks from it, but one of them is slowly pushing outwards in its own. What type of superglue do you think would work the best for these

I did the same thing. I call it Hotdog Stand in honor of the Windows 3.1 theme. Ketchup and Mussssstaaaaaaaard.

Wow, that unlocked a memory. I tried to use it because I thought it was hilarious that it existed. But the garishness kept getting to me.

Well the most recent photo was taken in sunlight. So it’s definitely brighter but he is getting pretty polished.:blueberries:
