Is anything comparable or better than the W1LD Contrast?
I love the soft feel and it’s like a cloud.
I feel like if I could get a wider version of the Contrast it would be absolutely incredible.
*also wtf is going on with the bearings? The G-Force is noisy and spins forever, the Contrast is completely silent and spins forever.
I REALLY want to try a Miracle, not the magnesium or TI version, just the one that Mir and Miri use.
*I’m playing 1A and my skill level is somewhere around ‘double or nothing’ and ‘laceration’.
I have played enough to tell the difference between yoyos though : ) Contrast is King thus far.
yes I can fingerspin and DNA sometimes but it’s a work in progress.
I’ve owned or thrown hundreds of yo-yos and I still haven’t found the “best” one.
And I think that despite the trend of oversized, extra wide competition yo-yos there are plenty of incredible yoyoers, competitive or otherwise, that use models that are very specific to their preferences, which suggests there probably will never be a best.
Unless you isolate yo-yoing to 2009-2010 and then the Genesis is just the GOAT.
That’s what I got with the Galactus, It’s just big and heavy, but it’s a lot of fun. Like I said my favorite is the Contrast.
Does anything else compare? The Miracle looks heavier but it has that pedigree with Mir and Miri

Another way to look at it is that like two players have different hand sizes. Player A has huge donkey kong hands and player B has tiny toddler hands. They will probably prefer different yoyo specs
If there was one yoyo that was the best, then everyone competing would use the same yoyo. People like different things.
I strongly recommend you look around and see if you got a yoyo club in your area. That can be a great way to play many yoyos and see what you like the best. Also contests like go to a contest and tons of people will be playing yoyo and you can play yoyo with people.

I like string tricks and I love how light the Contrast feels. It spins long enough for my dumbass to grab the string and move the string around my fingers.
The finger grind binds are probably my favorite trick…. pew pew.

I haven’t used the Contrast yet. But I just switched out the bearing in my G Force to an NSK Platinum.The bearing in the G FORCE is appears to be unsheilded so maybe a half a drop of Yo Yo Thin Lube can quiet it down some. I like the feel of the G Force but not the stock bearing as much. I own the Miracle 2025. It’s definately a great throw. However, you should really check out yoyofriends Replicant and Overclock.
The Contrast comes in at a width of 50mm is where you want to do your comparison with any other yoyo similarly spec. I would say the YYF Moz 7075 would be the yoyo in my collection to make a comparison to. The Moz is built for speed, stability and long spin. It’s a very comfort shape. Its hard to come by now since it sells out fast. I’m a owner of 4 colorways..I also have 2 Moz 6061.
