Hubstacked DV8ish Mod!

I was commissioned a little while back to work on this. The first one I made as a large bearing, and vibed like mad, no matter what I did. I decided to give it a shot using a ‘D’ size bearing. Turned out fantastic. Weights in right at 65 grams with the weight rings.

The hubstack and bearing seat are an aluminum insert

I decided that since this was a wide yoyo, it should have wider hubstacks, so I made a set that is longer than stock. I also made the center hole smaller like I do on my Ricestacks, and beveled the stack where it goes towards the hole in the middle.

How much do you want for it?

This one’s spoken for. I am making 3 more. One for me and two others to sell. I’d let them go (when they’re ready) for $70 apiece.

Out of curiosity, did you give the first one a shot without rings? I find that mine is much more forgiving without them. And what are you looking to do with the botched one?

Yep. Tried just about everything.

I’ll eventually press the hub/bearing seat back out and just re-work it.

 im feelin a wider recess for that silicone. That groove just looks slippy.

All yours, or, what throw WAS it?

Nope, nice tight binds.

Once upon a time it started life as a Menehune shell. ;D

cool :3 are the D bearings loud?

Any bearing can be loud or quiet.
