How does the Hayabusa response work?

From what I understand, the 3 holes provide the response?? How though? Obviously it works… but why would the string just grip 3 holes?

Wait, what?

The Hayabusa response is based on the lack of response. It is made with a small enough gap that when string is flung around the bearing, it grips the sides rather than slips off.

The gaps rather big… 2-3 mm?

2.6 actually.

But with the thin Spacer set up, there is no need for response. Want a larger gap? One large spacer and response pad on the same side
