I can get into a sideways man on the flying trapeze but then i can’t change directions. Please help: tips, videos, etc.

This one has a change of direction and is pretty easy. Mostly its just a case of speed and confidence. Horizontal you don’t have time to stop and wonder, so just keep trying until you start landing it. I’d suggest a plastic yoyo and helmet to get you started 
Do you mean an axis change?
Yoshi (his signature yoyo=cerberus) told me to throw upward and horizontal like a diagonal. It takes a while to get down but it will make all your throws perfectly horizontal.
