Homemade shims

I everyone,
Just last night I started to make my own shims. I made one that seemed to work nicely, but I was wondering, are the shims supposed to easily slide out of the bearing seat or are they supposed to slide perfectly down the seat?

It doesn’t matter. Just as long as they aren’t touching the outer part of the bearing.

They don’t need to be steady on the seat. I have yyj shims that I bought that slide out with ease. They won’t hold if the yoyo is opened and upside - down.
