I donāt get it. Heās not holding anyone at gun point. Anyone offering/buying is doing so knowingly and willingly.
I happily bought a Tiwalker for $500. I happily paid over retail for many yoyos that I wanted. If demand is high, price goes up. Seems a lot of people want it so I donāt understand why people get mad at this. If you donāt want to or canāt afford to pay the price heās asking, just walk on. Making a big stink of it makes you the bad guy imo.

Did you pay that much for a tiwalker a couple days after you missed a drop? Personally i feel whatever. I dont want that Disney pirate respawn but people are upset cause this guy copped the drop just to try to flip it the next day.

I agree and disagree. Definitely a questionable move, but itās his and he can do what he wants with it. If the demand is there he will sell it at that price. If not, heāll lower the price or flat out keep it.

Out of all recent g2 drops tbh, this is the last one i would have expected to see get put on ebay at over double the price lol. I love black yoyos too i just think the engraving is silly.
I know im comparing this in my head to an EXTREME but in Florida when hurricanes are about to plow through our souls, ppl buy out all the generators. Than when ppl need them, there are dudes trying to sell generators for triple the price. At the end of the day its that personās generator to do what they please. They bought it fair and square. I still think its a scummy move for a human.

Iām not gonna get into a big thing about it. But when he does that, he takes on some risk that it wonāt sell. The profit is his reward for that risk.

I guess im thinking of why he would do this so soon after a drop. If he needed cash that badky he shouldnāt have taken a risk with his first 100$ copping that from the drop. And if is all set with his finances and did this for fun, he is just pissing on the ppl who tried to buy one from the drop.
But yea. Its his money. His yoyo. His choices. Im not saying we should crucify the guy. I just think its a silly move

i was trying to find out if the particular artist that made this special, and ryan johnson has created a lot of artwork for several yoyos over the years. but, thereās not a real demand for short-run yoyo art style pieces, nor has there been recently focused on his work, per se. not to say there isnāt a demand for those throws, or throws heās worked onā¦ some have had a negligible increase in value, but not necessarily for their artwork.

What I gather is that people are annoyed because someone snagged an item released in very low numbers specifically to make a profit. Iām not outraged personally, but I do get their frustration. Given the communityās general emphasis on not gouging other members, what the guy is doing at least merits an eyeroll.

I tried a couple of the G2 drops, got frustrated, and swore off ever trying again. Joined the G2 yoyo of the month club instead. I figure that after a year I should have one of each and will be done with it.
