Holy Balls what a markup!

hah! thanks man, i appreciate that… not sure if yye catches 503 errors, but i haven’t had any…

as for this, it doesn’t matter to me either way. the overall market will determine the value, not one or two spikes. just because there’s a couple of pieces, doesn’t mean it’s going to be worth anything… just like if there are too many.

the tivayder is a great example… anyone selling a tivayder less than retail, regardless of color, is out of their mind… it’s a friggin titanium yoyo… that’ is completely awesome! i can point to 20 aluminum monometal yoyos that are worth twice their value right now… then keep going… that were produced in the hundreds… 12 yoyos are sleepy seeds… even if they look cool

I don’t know what sleepy seeds means and google told me eye boogers. But I don’t think this yo-yo will sell for this and was just using it as an example. I could be super wrong on that. However I think on a run of 12 a single sale could really impacts how the other holders see the value of theirs especially if it’s on eBay where it’s visible. This yo-yo doesn’t have the significance to break the 200 barrier by any means.

Lol it was just a random number and we happened to be talking about g2 homeslice…I’m well aware that Jake isn’t gonna produce yo-yos on a scale like that…common sense brother. You coulda figured that one out.

See I’d say it’s the reviews and the people talking that are gonna be more of an influence, not the number made. Now, that’s not to say that the number of yo-yos made won’t affect the price, but reviews, and other manufactures, and pros all saying the same thing(assuming it’s positive) will cause the price of a yo-yo to go up faster, in larger increments, and in most cases actually be worth it…try and buy an O.G. Noctu…

Hundred dollar yoyos should cost a hundred dollars…

And then maybe a few years down the road; somebody will pay over retail if the yo-yo turns into a must have…

Until then; when yoyos are deliberately released in tiny batches. The Urgency of having to have one, is just in your mind.

FOLO… Fear of losing out.

When fear controls your decisions; your wallet will be Forever thin.

I see nothing wrong with a thieving pirate selling off his booty.

It has the opposite effect on me. Companies that do this could make the best yoyos in the history of yoyo, I have no desire to play into the fear of missing out game.

I know, I just cropped it so peoples personal info wasn’t out there, I thought that was great.

Personally I don’t care.
This has been a problem for ever. Also if you look hard enough you will find that elusive grail and if your lucky the Gent will sell or trade for a fair price. That’s been my experience for every high end throw I own. And I want to thank snacks for being one of those people.

i try to share love that’s shared with me… also why i prefer trading, and will ‘post’ a little bit higher price… to encourage trading, discourage lowballs, and serious buyers only… a posted price is rarely an actual sale price

I wonder if that dude sold it. I didn’t see it on there anymore and he had a draupnir yoyo for $1500. It’s gone too. Are they really selling that much u think?
