Its really popular in asian areas. I had it all the time when I was a kid. Never realized it was a yoyo community thing. It is like a delicious version of starburst (The candy, not the response)

I think I first saw Hi-chew at anime expo in 2010. I’m not sure about every where else but you can get it at most 7/11 stores in Chicago. A lot more places have it if you can recognize the Japanese though.

It’s basically a starburst flavored kind of gum sort of. It is really tasty my brother has a friend for Korea that gets a big bag of hi chew from his dad all the time.
