What happened to JDRocks!'s guide?
It’s still right here, so I don’t know.
Who said anything about that not being there? His guide is about 85% complete so I am just filling in the holes, adding general bearing info, and compling it into one spot. He of course is given full credit for his part.
I have a great DM bearing and when ever I take it off for the cleaning, I have to pull really hard on the bearing with my pliers. I clamp down tight and it still takes a couple tries to get the bearing off. The pliers slip off a lot and I am afraid that it will mess up the bearing, but it never does. It is made out of extremely hard stuff. And, if ever the bearing is making a weird fluidy sound, just clean it with acitone! It changed my really slow dirty bearing to one that felt BRAND new!!
General-Yo - AIGR (aircraft instrument gyro rated) bearing.
HSpin - plastic/steel bearing (precision stainless steel bearing with a plastic cage)
