A solid solution learn to lock pick and pick the mailbox open. It won’t do anything for you specifically here but it’s a good skill to have and will let you help your grandma get her mail.

this is really picking up and it seems everyone on YYE forums has gathered around for the kid 
we dont know the mother or if she has legitimate reason not get the throw asap, so i prefer we dont get on her bad side. and it seems post office didnt reply / wasnt contacted ?
anyway, my advice is if possible (after permission form your mother) to go camp at the mailbox and wait for the postman and then tell him your yoyo was sent here (better have ID) and if he can give it to you, if you can do that at an appropriate day of the week.
if they say no, then explain the situation and ask them whats the solution.you might even find its not the box anyway but at their office.

You guys are off by a mile.
The kid paid for the yo-yo by sending one penny at a time.
Each penny was sent by FedEx next day delivery at $74.20 per Jetpac.
That would make his total investment come to $259,700
It’s easy to jump to the wrong conclusions when you don’t know the details.

This thread reminds me of that kid new to yoyoing who didnt want to wait for his offset yoyo to ship from Australia so @yoyodoc sent him a snapback and soon as he got it he lost the bearing. We never heard from him again I don’t think?

All right, I’m invested in this story at this point.
Here’s how I see it playing out:
-Mom finally gets involved and contacts post office.
-Finds out mail is actually being forwarded to the owner of the mailbox (the aunt)
-The aunt received the package, opened it and sold the yo-yo on craigslist.
-Mom is now furious and takes the Aunt to family court.
The good news…We might see this saga played out on an episode of Judge Judy!!!

Honestly at this point I just want the kid to get his throw. If I was sure he could get it I would send him one.
I can’t imagine how much this sucks for him.
