tbh like 7 of my 10 yoyos no longer work, are super scuffed up, or vibe like nuts at this point.

Non throwers would never believe this quote was any way related to yo-yo. :joy:

My worst stuck bearing finally came off with the freezer trick. Even so, it was still hard to take off.

I’m not saying pliers are “impossible” to use, but the danger of damaging the yoyo/bearing is much higher than a standard yyf multi tool.

Pliers make life so much easier and I’ve had no issues.

YYF multitool is crap in my opinion, doesn’t work nearly as well.

Wow, I’m shocked that anyone has that opinion, but to each their own I guess.

I’ve broken like 5 or 6 bearings using pliers, and only ever had easy and smooth removals even on the toughest bearing seat with the multi tool.

Are you sure you’re using it correctly? Genuine question, because the multi tool has always been super easy for me.

Definitely with you on this. Pliers over Multitool any day of the week.

i think there’s a lot of people that agree with me

Maybe I should ask if you’re using pliers right :joy: because my pliers have never failed me either even on the tightest of YYFs and I haven’t damaged a single bearing in all my 7 years

Bearing seats do seem to be looser nowadays though so it’s probably not that bad but I remember my first 2 years I had a few yoyos that I really had to dig deep to get out

What pliers are you using? Asking for a friend :joy:

I don’t use these exact ones, bu the pliers I have have this hole cutout which fits almost perfectly around a bearing.

Ah yes the hole is very important.
