In an epic celebration of C3yoyodesign’s 15th Anniversary, two of yo-yoing’s most creative forces—CLYW and C3—have joined together to bring something truly legendary to life: The H5 LEAF.

Born from a conversation between CLYW founder Chris Mikulin and C3Yoyodesign master Ron Chan, the H5 LEAF is a fusion of heritage, innovation, and pure fun. This hybrid powerhouse pays homage to the legacy of four iconic throws: the Chief (2011), H5 (2011), H5Chief (2012), and the LEAF (2024)—blending them into a bold new design that breaks boundaries and brings the best of both brands into one unforgettable return top.

What started as an idea to create CLYW’s first hybrid yo-yo and C3’s first polycarbonate with an inner metal ring quickly evolved. Thanks to an unreleased sketch of the LEAF from yo-yo legend Steve Brown, the H5 LEAF concept was born—merging wide performance-driven shape with nostalgic double-rim aesthetics.

The result? A massive, floaty, and seriously fun yo-yo with modern comp-level performance. With a polycarbonate body, 6061 aluminum inner weight ring, and a super-wide stance, the H5 LEAF is designed to spin hard, move effortlessly, and make even your hardest tricks feel like a breeze. Feedback from top players like Matthew Poon helped refine the design to ensure it could handle the spotlight—literally—making finals at PNWR in its prototype stage.

Available in an all-star lineup of colorways, including:

  • CLYW’s iconic 28 Stories
  • Speedaholic FX’s Yellow/Black
  • CLYW’s Salmon Fade
  • C3’s Signature Black, Purple, and Silver Triad

Each H5 LEAF includes a special edition shiny panda sticker and delivers the kind of creative energy you’d expect from two of the most innovative names in yo-yo design.

Same! I’m pleasantly surprised about the price too!

i feel the opposite, it feels like $20 more than i’d care to spend. to each their own though! i’ll consider snagging one if/when they pop up in the bst but i won’t be actively hunting for one

I thought with it being such an icon CLYW would’ve had it at about $100, but I fully understand. $90 is still quite steep

i think 90 is for the solid color. splash is probably at least 100. i see the c3 splash for 110 on the other site that pre-listed it

Holy smokes… well then I take what I first said back!

I think only the yellow black is 90, and the salmon, 28 stories, and C3 colorways are 110

A hybrid at those dimensions has got to be a performance beast.

Ultimate Banger yoyo

I’ve been really good lately, but I couldn’t resist the specs and this particular 28s. Love the clear plastic with the splatter. Looks really banger indeed!
