I know plastic rimmed metals have cracking issues but this seems crazy for a more traditional hybrid design. It has to be that sharp angle in the plastic causing issues.
I recently noticed my Connection started to crack but it’s nowhere near that bad.
I definitely had many of my YYJs break on me back in the day, and I know that’s a big part about why I wasn’t too mad about it happening to my H5 Leaf. And C3 offering to replace it definitely makes this a much easier pill to swallow.
Nobody has reported this issue with the Speedaholic FX which is interesting. Looking at mine it has a much smaller hub that meets with much thicker plastic than the H5xLeaf.
Hopefully companies figure out a minimum thickness of plastic and this stops being an issue.
No lie, it was my favorite yo-yo since the day it got delivered to my mailbox. It played so well, was deceptively nimble for a yo-yo of that size, and it also looked great under blacklight.
Unfortunately, it broke before I feel I got my money’s worth out of it. But C3 is going to make it right by offering a model of comparable price to replace it, which is good enough for me.
What i still don’t get, and this has been mentioned already on the thread, is how plastic of that thickness in a stable, non-experimental design cracked. Cus that isn’t just a crack that’s a fissure that yoyo is falling apart
I requested one of the Antipodal Points w/ the yellow rims as a replacement for my H5 Leaf. Not sure when it will get here, but I’m looking forward to seeing how those rims pop under my blue LED lights.
Tell me how it plays when it gets to you! I’ve been interested in that yoyo (C3 is by far and away my favorite company aside from my own- i think I own like 14 C3 yoyos?)
