Hypernova is a reissue of a timeless Tyler Severance Pro Model. Developed over 3 generations of designs, landing on a perfect shape amalgamating classic YoYo designs into a modern masterpiece.
One of the first yoyos capable of effortlessly moving between multiple styles competitively (1A, 3A, 5A), and simultaneously becoming a preference with trick innovators.

Combining elements from different shapes (H shape, W Shape, V Shape and Organic), and utilizing an even weight distribution, created an amazing play experience while also giving players an approachable happy medium. You could win Worlds with this YoYo, or go to YoYo Club and have fun with your friends.
Going on to win 3 US National Titles, countless Worldwide International Titles, several top 3 World YoYo Contest placements, and creating a generation of classic tricks. It is a certified classic that will continue inspiring generations to come.

Joyride is a flagship design by Recess. Based off their First Base Yoyo launched in 2015, birthing a modern wave of organic yoyo design.
Recess founder Tyler Severance has always loved organic shaped yo-yos. Going back to his 2007 World and National 5A titles won with a Duncan Freehand. They fit more comfortably in your hand, they have a more approachable look, they feel more like a toy in an industry full of V Shapes that scream “equipment”.

Organic yo-yos are famously unstable. But the gap of the Joyride and First Base utilize a V Shape step, which acts as a counteracting stabilizer keeping your Yoyo spinning straighter, longer. While still giving the player the feel and aesthetic of an organic Yoyo.
D bearing yoyos are known for their agility and high RPMs that other small bearing yoyos feature. But, D bearings are wider (5mm) than the A Size (4mm) “small bearing”, giving players a wider string gap that will not hinder their trick selection by creating too much friction from a thinner bearing.
