having trouble with this trick, itll spin about a quarter of the way, then it stops, then it freaks out and spazes out. am i doing something wrong?
You need to keep the strings from touching the walls of the yoyo. If you lean the strings one way it will speed up the flop but slow down the spin. If you lean them the other way, it will slow down the spin and reverse the direction of the flop. This is probably the “spazzing out” you’re talking about.
Ideally you want the strings all perpendicular to the axle going through the yoyo, and not touching the walls. This requires some adjustment throughout the trick. Practice!
Yup, what he said. Having to just pull the string and let it flop will end in failure (spazzing out).
Adjust your hands until you get it right.
