I’m looking to order a V8 and the only place here in the UK that seems to have the colour I want in stock is a website called goyoyo. The person that helped me out was very nice but unfortunately I cannot find much information about this website aside from a few but positive trustpilot reviews, can someone here vouch for them or detail the experience they may have had with this retailer?
Yo I won a giveaway from them so I’m biased but they’re legit and you can hit them up on Instagram if you want. I think they have a brick and mortar store in the UK.
Also I should say like this is the yoyoexpert forum and it’s not all that great to link to other stores here but idk if that’s all you have access to bc your international, that seems okay like I bet Andre and co would understand.
Alright then thanks for the help, doubt anyone would rip me off on yoyos but it’s better to err on the side of caution when shopping online.
But yeah, considering that I’ve been frequenting this website so much the only thing that’s kept me from buying from here is that for a beginner to intermediate level yoyo, the shipping and taxes come out to be a significant fraction of what I pay, plus it takes really long to ship as well, I’d love to buy some stuff here when I’ve got friends coming over from america or for a nice bimetal later on :).
Hello, I live in London UK, as Henry said we not supposed to talk about other shops here but Goyoyo UK is very realiable, good guys for sure and very active in the Uk yoyo world (you can find them booth at every contest), go easy with them and they are very active on Instagram as well if you have any question!
Have fun and see you at the next contest/meeting!
In UK we got 2 shops, the one you mentioned, and another one that you probably already know. Both are thrust worthy and support the UK yoyo scene.
As you delve deeper and deeper in the rabbit hole that is buying yoyos, you’ll find that at one point you are forced to go the international way in order to get the stuff you want.
If you ever do, my only advice is to keep your cart under £135 (including shipping, which most of the time is ~£18), if you go over that threshold you’ll have to pay import duties which sting harder than you’d imagine.
A friend of mine bought some yo-yos there once or twice. As far as I know, he never had issues with the store.
