wich yoyos should i get for 3a and what makes a yoyo good for it
please answer thanks
Main thing you want is power and stability. Look for heavy yoyos with rim weight. A narrower gap is good. I recommend schwimmpanzers by yozean
I try not to go wider than 45mm, heavy rim weight for the stability. I usually go for b-grades since they will bang against each other. If you don’t like hearing the banging noises than starting with plastics is good option and it will allow you to get some of the basics down.
I want yozean but they don’t ship to the US anymore…
This thread did get pretty 5a heavy due to the recent month… 5a may
Nooooo!!! Dang that is sad…maybe they can work something out with a US store to help get the yoyos into the hands of the players ( @AndreBoulay ). I really like my Schwimmpanzers and would love to be able to keep recommending them…easily one of the best yoyos available for 3A dang…
Yeah ever sense the tariffs they dropped off the US Ali express stores, Amazon and removed direct shipping to the US. The only way to get yozean is to buy from a retailer in Japan that has them as far as I can tell and the stock is super limited.
Super disappointing and I hope a US retailer can either import them or that the tariffs loosen and yozean re enters the US market but sadly for now they are fully disengaged from us… I guess I could ship to a friend in Canada then have them ship to the US…
Cyber crash 2 is supposed to be a solid a low budget 3a yoyo sadly not much stock of those left in the US either. Hoping a restock comes.
Also freshly dirty has a 3a yoyo in the lineup at some point no idea when Arthur is dropping those though.
Cyber crash 2 is hard to beat for a good 3a throw.
The Superfly is really nice as well.
Most things from yyr are a good choice.
This is designed for 3a but it’s super heavy so keep that in mind.
TP St elmo as well
Unparalleled made specific 3a yoyos as well
are bimetals better for 3a then monometals
In the end game yes, they can be. However, starting out getting comfortable with your off hand throws and binds is where you will spend the most time and a bi metal isn’t going to help with that.
i can already do binds with both of my hands
Eh it depends but pretty much yeah. Every worlds finalist was using a bimetal/trimaterial this year except tomoya and he was using Ti. They just have extra stability and spin time and that really helps w the style. The down side is they cost more and the rings can shift. Rims shifting is kind of common and then you gotta take the yoyo apart and step on it to push them back in place and that gets annoying if it happens all the time but I mean yeah they are better pretty much. Monos absolutely get the job done also though and I like playing monos for 3a, they’re just not the absolute best but that is okay.
so wich bimetals should i get
Hades
wich brand makes it
meh its noticeable at first but after a couple days it doesn’t feel so outlandish. at this point it started feeling so normal ive been switching string back and forth on 1 of my pair and use it for my 1a
