I personally think Gentry has some of the best stage presence. He smiles, waves his arms, and dances along with the routine. He’s definitely entertains to watch.
Yeah. I know what you mean but something about it doesn’t really appeal to me. I don’t know how to explain it. Kinda seems to rehearsed? If that makes sense at all?
Wouldn’t you want to rehearse your routine before going on stage instead of going up there and winging it?
not his actual routine. More about his dancing and stuff. Like when he goes to bind and does a pose or dance, it just looks kinda scripted. Doesn’t seem like its genuine.
I think you mean it just doesn’t look as natural and more formulaic.
Going back to the b-boy analogy, it is kind of like when a gymnast starts to do windmills and flares vs a b-boy, it is technically the same but it misses that style and just looks more “stiff” for lack of a better term I guess.
Heero, I guess you just don’t like his style right? Nothing wrong with that, in that I also don’t but can’t deny that his routine definitely wins the top spot for this type of competition.
Yes. Exactly what I meant. And I don’t disagree. He def deserves the title from what I saw. His routine is really tight, as he pretty much always is. I liked Evans(I think that’s his name) better, but only cause he had a unique style and interesting ideas, but I agree, point for point, gentry killed it. He’s really on a whole new level compared to some other competitors.
