How narrow is too narrow of a gap width for the latest kinds of 1A play?
Any thoughts?

My narrowest gap 1a yoyo is the Dang 2 (4.33mm) and it has a mid-low wall, but plays really nicely even with a thicker string. I don’t know a lot of layered tech stuff but it does spirit bomb just fine without snagging. I think the gap size depends a lot on the overall weight/rim weight and other factors.
