So were the patreon brass ss not brass?
Correct. Those are AL7s. 7068 body instead of 6061.

What exactly is the difference between normal, al7 and al8? Iām pretty sure it has to do with the grade of aluminum, but iām not exactly sure if thatās right. Does anybody happen to know? Much appreciated!
