Fixed Axle February 2025 is Here! WEEK 1

Does it have to be a challenge trick set, or can it be the regular weekly trick set?

Okay I too am a bit confused about the setup like are the challenges per week or per month or whats up? Hmmm…I think I will perform all the tricks w a duncan imperial and that will set me up for a flawless victory let’s goooo!!!

I think this week is the week for the imperial challenge. Hardest part is the tape measure becauae of the grind but im just going to do it with a glove on .

Each individual may pick any trick out of all the tricks this month to attempt on an Imperial. If you complete any trick at all throughout the month you win the challenge and get the prize, but you may only win this ONCE for the whole month. So if you chose to use an Imperial for the whole month, we will all congratulate you on your awesomeness… but you will only win ONE counterweight. Please tell me I’ve made proper sense out of that.

Might be best to be trick set, cuz everyone is about to go stall an imperial if its just one trick. Not sure if thats what you meant.

Your Imperial challenge makes sense though, pretty simple. Im personally more confused on the challenge mechanism for the official FAF stuff.

I get you there may be some tricks that are easier on an Imperial but even Trapeze Stalls are a fair amount more difficult and certainly not attainable by all. I was more interested in getting people to challenge themselves than I was making the prize difficult to win.:+1:

I want to be clear I wasn’t saying any trick that exists is good, it has to be one of the tricks that are provided as part of the contest. IE. If a standard stall were not a contest trick, you would not be able to do that stall and have it count. It has to be a contest trick.

Lol okay good, cuz tape measure was harder than I thought on imperial. I forgot these things are so snaggy!

Lol no…Now I’m more confused. If I do all the tricks on an imperial, then i would get an entry for the imperial challenge part, but I wouldn’t get entries for anything else? That can’t be right!

No sir. It is not a drawing you will be entered into… you will win a counterweight…period. But only one per person. Savvy?

Lol i swear I’m not dumb but nah im still confused
Wouldnt that still satisfying the condition to enter me in the series?

For the sake of ending this convo so i can go play yoyo, i will do all the others w the fixie i got from ardeus, and one trick i will do with an imperial

Maybe this helps lay it out better?

I do apologize for confusion wanted to get this out today but also was down to the wire on editing and video submissions last night and didn’t get to polish it out but anything that needs clarity please let us know.

Okay Okay I think I got it now but correct me if I am wrong—
The trick list is for weekly challenges. (max 4 entries, 1 per week?)
The trick series are for the month( 1 trick= 1 entry & all tricks = 2 entries).
Do one of the tricks with an imperial to get that entry.

Also shoutout yybc love you all and I’m excited! Just want to make sure I understand everything sorry if I’m being

Also yo for the Hydra tricks, @Nic_from_Adelaide I watched the set up video but do you have a recommendation for string length? like should I go closer to my 3a length which is super short or stick with my normal 0a length which I typically run super long or like more standard belly button length or wassup?

No sir. What I am doing with these counterweights it’s not official and not attached to the rules of any other contest. This is my own personal contribution to the fun and it is outside of and not connected in any way to the other contests. If you complete any of the tricks this month on an Imperial, I will send you a counterweight from my personal collection as my own Ada boy. I can only do this once per person as I only have so many. (22)

Edit: @GTDropKnot if the trick you were doing was your entry into the official contest, you will still get whatever entry into whatever contest you were qualifying for. The Imperial Challenge is in addition to whatever you are working on. Just please @ me in the video submission so I can keep track.:+1:

Each guest “expert” series (ed, jarred, Dave, CowClops) is its own giveaway, there’s a giveaway for beginner tricks and the a giveaway for intermediate tricks and a random drawing for anyone who participates.

Then @Slestak75 added a challenge ontop of it all lol.

Everything is all month long but we will be adding tricks through the month to get more entries per series.

Our end goal was reduce our overall effort in our end, give people lots of chances to win and participate at whatever level feels right to them and give folks more time while still bumping activity weekly. Hopefully those changes based off last year prove fruitful if not we will learn and do better.

I think I’ve got it now, so tricks added each week for the weekly challenge but the deadline for submission of the weekly tricks is February 28th no matter what week they are from?
