Awesome! I do have some carts I would like to bring back into rotation, but I’m not as heavy a retro gamer as I’d like to be and currently $200+ is hard to justify when I have a Steam Deck. I know it’s not the same, but I think a cart ripper would be cheaper until I get heavier into retro games.
But thank you for the review, it’s still on the top of my list when I want to go full bore.

I thought It was fair. You get a lot of other console emulators for a small cost and no other equipment. I replayed the crap out of Zelda and got my money back the first month.
It’s not too bad. It’s a Miyoo Mini. They make a new one, the Mini+ that’s a little bigger. I mostly don’t have time for marathon sessions; I tend to play for 10-20 minutes at a time, so the size hasn’t been a real problem.
DS and Wii U severs are going down, which means that you cannot play online or do much anymore!
UNTIL!!
There is a mod that will give you access to servers that people play on, and the best part is that it also gives you access to a new eshop where everything is free, such as mods to the games, and cheats. COMPLETELY FOR FREE
So nintendo dont sue me, but im enjoying mario superstars on my brothers 2ds, so let me be
Welp quick update, SteamDeck died again randomly without a reason no charge light no response to any hard reset etc going to have to RMA it a second time (out of warranty) so I grabbed a Retroid Pocket 4 Pro and a 1.5tb sd card with 2 day shipping to hold me over.
Feel like sharing this with those who don’t know and hopefully revive some posting in this thread. Recently since my SteamDeck died on me and I haven’t gotten it fixed or replaced yet and have no currently gaming pc or laptop I tried the GeForce NOW app for the first time since about 2015-2016 when I played around with their beta and just wanted to say I’m now thoroughly impressed with it. The free membership tier only has one or two ads to watch while you wait in the gamer queue for a cloud gaming rig. (Typically around 30seconds, longest I’ve waited is almost 2 minutes)
It basically works like Xbox cloud gaming handling all the cpu gpu processing on the rig and streaming it to you with very low ping and virtually no latency. It links to your pc gaming library accounts like Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft Connect, Battle. net, EA app, GOG. com, etc.
I’ve tested it out on a few devices I have including:
Amazon Fire 8HD tablet/ 8bitdo Pro 2 controller over Bluetooth (SADX switch set to D for Android) via the Google Play Store app.
A 512GB iPhone 11 Pro Max/ Razer Kishi V1 for iphone (lightning connector) via Safari website saved to Home Screen as an app icon like Xbox gamepass on iOS.
This has been fantastic so far, even being a free membership with a startup ad and one hour session limit, it’s easy enough to save and reload a new session if I am playing for more than a hour at a time. Just figured I’d share for those with a back log of pc games that have never tried the GeForce NOW app or are in a similar situation as I am currently without a gaming pc setup. Just a bit of a heads up it does not include all games with the free membership but I still have nearly a hundred Steam games alone that it does work with, including big AAA titles. Played some CyberPunk and BG3 last night.
As an aside, if you have a wifi capable device or emulator I highly suggest signing up for RetroAchievements .com and signing into RetroArch PPSSPP etc on your devices.
Is there a non-retro gaming handheld gaming thread? I’ve been playing Balatro which has some retro style but is for modern consoles and PC. I wish I could take it on my Miyoo Mini or my phone even. If you like playing cards and you like rogue-likes this game is awesome. Best $15 I’ve spent on video games in a while.
