Excited or what.

If a ring is to be put there it has to accomplish something more than ‘‘letting the yoyo assume a certain combination of rim shape and thickness’’. It typically defeats the purpose by increasing the associated costs of placing a ring beyond the gains of purely aesthetical considerations (ease of cup profile design?) The yoyo in question looks as if most of its planned distribution is already in the aluminum part, which conflicts my understanding of an over-ring design.

These are all yoyos I tried only once and decided it s over

And these are some others I throw anyway despite being not exactly rim weighted

If the yoyo discussed in this topic did apply the inner ring approach to fine tune the distribution between the Al parts and the rings it probably wouldnt play bad like those 3 above, but that alone will not make it a good representative of a yoyo that has the looks of this type

I have never seen the two last bi-metals you showed there…

Anyways, the fact that you have played some bi-metals with similar looks doesn’t mean that you should automaticly bash the Weekend just because of how you think it will play based on the looks.

Which yoyo is the third pic solid green bimetal?

This is right. First its 7075 then if even though rings are not that big or heavy it still will help the distribution. And if the rings are too wide then its a V shape too much.

I like this because it doesn’t have the typical bimetal V shape. It has a better shape.

I kinda agree with kadabrium. Looks like it doesn’t make full use of the bimetallism(?).

Looks like that weight distribution could be achieved by placing more aluminium there instead of going through the trouble of having a steel ring. To me at least, its like making a bimetal for the sake of making a bimetal.

But I’ll try to keep an open mind. Perhaps I’m wrong, perhaps its the next draupnir, but I just feel its not a lot to be hyped about.

The cup is another interesting feature to me as its no engraved and looks great for finger spins. Then 7075 is another feature I look for.

And the price 130$ is not too high seeing its features.

Here’s an attempted compare shot.

As you can see it has more soft steps then cowboy. Kadabrium is kind of right that its not a typical bimetal rings they are lot narrower. But still it looks more interesting to me.

Well, SS is nearly three times as dense as 7075 aluminium. To achieve the same weight with 7075 they probably would have to increase the diameter by a millimeter or two… It’s not necessarily something they wanted.

This brand is going to be good; aside from the yo-yo designs, I mean. The marketing really strikes a chord with the yo-yo community, methinks.

Yes rightly said.

And Owen right those players are easy to contact and more active.

That bi-metal looks really good.

No no, they’re rechargeable
