Ti Respawn in my pocket, and various unresponsives on my holster. The ti respawn is an indestructible variant of my favorite responsive yoyo, and it plays so good. Most often the unresponsive is my G2 Loadout, its such a good yoyo, if its not the Loadout the other commom choice my Ti Albatross. I pick these yoyos based on what my favorites are. I’m not too concerned about damage, just want pretty yoyos I love to play with me.
This has been my EDC recently – my 3D printed fixie.
It’s my EDC for a couple of reasons:
- It’s tailored to my preferences and play style
- I can easily print another in case something happens to it
I’ve been carrying 2 of them whenever I head out.
One to play with, and the other to give away to random people I meet.
I don’t really have an EDC per-se. I carry two yo-yos with me to work: my Metavity setup for 5a, and then usually my Emotion, Pilgrim, or Fat Tire 20/20. Sometimes I’ll take my Shutter or Geedorah.
I don’t have an EDC as I don’t leave the house much. But if I grab something it’s most likely to be my Deep State or Shooting Star for unresponsive
DIY and usually a butterfly but lately i’ve been carrying pltyps instead of the butterfly. these generally perform to my taste, i have duplicates (for an average 5 bucks duncan butterflys are basically disposable as far as i’m concerned), and i don’t really get anxiety about dinging plastic yoyos when i’m away from home (i don’t like getting scratches and dings on them, but it just doesn’t bother me much when its plastic, or very cheap, or easy to replace). i tend to play these at home too and then take a break and throw the high anxiety metal yoyos over my carpet. I just don’t like damaging nice or hard to come by things when they are mine. i like to keep them in exelent condition which is still mostly impossible, but i try. pride can be a problem sometimes.
Typically,
Luftverk Dayton SE
It’s durable, adjustable, a nice size, and I find it very aesthetically pleasing.
It’s Not annoyingly wide in my pocket.
I do like yo-yos of all sizes, but I prefer carrying a slimline or micro.
Perhaps it comes from clips and cases being ugly and that they’ve been more an inconvenience to me.
Or, that I don’t regularly wear clothing items with baggy pockets that can safely house a yo-yo, like a hooded sweatshirt.
I don’t have a particular EDC throw but the ones I tend to take out and about generally aren’t too wide or big, just because they fit in my pocket easier.
Recently I’ve been alternating between my Ti YWET, No Jive, Panorama, El Tio and the End 2. Today is the Ti YWET:
I find this great as it’s not too wide, a capable player and can handle a few bumps if the situation calls for it. Really like this throw.
Another vote for the Duncan Butterfly XT. It’s cheap and easy for kids to try (I have a 5 year old and most of my time out is going to his activities etc). I think the Magicyoyo K1 is also a great choice for taking out - no worries if it gets lost or dinged, and I give them out to introduce more people to the hobby.
My EDC is the ZGRT El MiJo Polycarbonate with fixed axle set up. Its just always there, It’s slim. It fits perfectly in the pocket.

I don’t use my pockets ever, i’m a fanny packer. So size doesn’t matter, i carry whatever my current fav is. Normally a 3a setup and a 5a setup. Save3A(rip) Titans and Alchemik Chaku have been coming with me as if late.
My wife tells me the same thing. I hope she means it.
For the last couple of months I’ve been rotating through slightly different versions of my Slim Dude. Pocket friendly fun was the goal for this design.
+1 for the bum bag / fanny pack. It’s a bandolier that you can add multiple yoyo sized storage pouches onto. In Adelaide everyone will assume that your a drug dealer though
I had to look up what EDC meant, in my would it means “Eau De Cologne”, but I got it, Every Day Carry. I don’t have one, I only throw at home, once I get better maybe I’ll carry one with me in the wild. Well from time to time, I’ll bring a beater out with me but definitely no EDC.
I know, I know, I added 0 value to this thread. Sorry.
I comment all the time without “adding value”. Look, I’m doing it right now.
Are we not supposed to?
I thought we were here to have fun
Yoyorecreation 5ive: super slim, plastic, inexpensive, nice-looking.
I like going out and about with a responsive since I can just do a simple up and down when there’s no room for tricks.
I don’t really play with it at home since I have others to enjoy.
I’ve been heavily debating getting one of those holsters. Love the leather look.
My “holster” is from G2, absolutely love it… the leather breaks in well and is very sturdy…
