Im pretty new to yoyoing and started with a Duncan Metal Zero 2. I was starting to like it when the axle stripped. Ive decided to get a nicer yoyo and am choosing between the Duncan Mayhem and YFF boss. Wondering which one you guys liked more.
I’ve tried the mayhem. it is pretty good except that it’s not that smooth unless you take off the side things and it has terrible binds other then that it is pretty good. as for the boss i have not tried it so I can’t tell you how it plays.

I think so I don’t actually have one my friend does so I haven’t actually taken them off but I think it is easy to. I think you need a spoon to do it.

I really like my Boss, it is very smooth and just an overall great player.

im still working on learning all the basic tricks, not binds. a friend told me that the duncan mayhem was unresponsive (therefore good for binds)
if im trying to learn tricks besides binds, is the mayhem not the right yoyo? is the boss more suited for this? thanks.
The boss is Way more unresponseive than the Mayhem get the Mayhem and some thick lube.
so ill be able to do tricks that are not binds with the mayhem better than the metal zero(my old yoyo)? i think im gonna get the mayhem, any name of lubes, and i should use the silicone stickers right?

anyone else have opinions on the mayhems responsiveness?
I own both yoyos and they are both unresponsive out of the box. You can make either of them responsive by adding YYJ Thick Lube to the bearing. I personally enjoy the Boss more, but they are both great yoyos. It’s all preference. If you like heavier yoyos, I would go with the Boss. If you like faster yoyos, I would go with the Mayhem due to the small bearing.
If you want an adjustable response yoyo, you can always get a YYF Adjust-O-Matic. This yoyo allows you to play unresponsive or responsive just by moving the dials, just like a Velocity.
my freind has the mayhem it sucks really the boss is like an 888 without hubstacks cuz i have both an 888(wich i am selling just go and lok at sell and trade section) and they are the same
