Does anyone know what size bearing a Quicksilver Hybrid uses?

I bought a few different top tips to try for 3D printing and I’m not sure what bearings are used on the Quicksilver Hybrid’s. Does anyone have one and can let me know?

You talking about the fixed tip?

edit… oops. You completely asked about the bearings…. I have one and felt positive they were A’s but then I started wondering if they were C’s. It’s been a while since I messed with it so I’ll look a bit later.

Thanks!

I have found my bearing stash and I think the Quicksilver does use C’s. The other one I have I think is a Quicksilver Bearing tip and it uses a smaller size. A D fit which I think means an A fits too (I think they have the same inner race size).

Correct.

Just to close the loop on this. I do not have a Quicksilver Hybrid but I think I have determined that they must use A bearings. That’s because it’s available in either Fixed Tip or Bearing Tip, and the measurements of the fixed tip at the point of insertion match an A sized bearing, 10mmx4mm (corresponding to outer race and height), and I would assume they would want to design one body type for both rather than two.

I have two QuickSilvers but I actually don’t know if the hybrid is the same. I’m pretty sure it is but I can’t say for certain. If you’d like I can measure it though.

I think I’m just going to go with what I currently have designed and iterate.

5mm (ID) 10mm (OD) and 4mm (W). I order them from vbx, they’re actually sold as a Duncan yoyo replacement bearing.

Removed the link to the other place…

Do you have to request them to ship without lube? From what I understand, on spin tops, you want the bearing bone dry and as free-spinning as possible

Even if I got them dry I would still dip them in cleaner so to me it’s not a big deal.

This is A sized. I bought a ten pack from the rainforest store. I’m currently working on a better seat in the plastic for them.

Yea, I was actually looking for replacement bearings at the time and ended up on that site. What is the rain forest store?
