Question about buying a bearing trompo

Okay folks. So I’ve been practicing the last 2 days literally all day and I found a style that I like to throw and I’ve become quite decent at it. Here’s my thing though, I have two yoyo factories, one bearing and one not. I have the Alice which I have not used them, but I ended up buying a three pack of jumbo Cobra on Amazon.

Here’s my thing. I don’t know if I like the yoyo factory pin tops. They just feel really cheap. They don’t really have A quality feel they feel a bit cheap but they also don’t have the girth like the Cobra.

I have to be honest with you. I like the cobras is way more than I like the yoyo factories. But the problem is that I’m finding is the cobras are fixed. So I’m in need of a spin top that feels like the cobras but has a bearing.

I’ve been looking at one called The King king turbo it says it plays and feels like the Cobra. It’s just with a bearing so I’m wondering if anybody’s used it and what your thoughts are.

I’m hoping to hear all advice, but I definitely want something that has a bearing that has girth it just feels really good in your hands like the Cobra

anything trompos cometa is good

but i prefer fixed tip tops because they self balance easier

and its what all the really good player use

I was under the assumption some tricks can only be done with a bearing trompo or can every trick be done with a fixed tip

You have it backwards, a lot of fixed tip tricks don’t work at all on bearing tips because they rely on the rotation of the tip.

Bearing tips absolutely have their place, but they’re a different niche, not a replacement for fixed tip.

The turbo version of the jumbo cobra is going to be the same size. I like it better than any of the other light weight bearing tops I have, it feels more balanced and smoother to me than the Elec-Trick, but it costs more and they are harder to find.
Don’t get rid of your YYF tops though, it’s just like yo-yos, as your skills advance you will find the Short Circuit is really fun for some tricks. They also scream for wire walking tricks.

What about the Spintastics bearing tipped Trompo Grande? It looks fairly hefty.

Yes it’s ok, but I dont really put it in the same category because it is so much bigger. But bigger might not be better, it’s just like yo-yos, different designs for different styles and tricks. I don’t much care for the plastic Spintastics Trompo Grande tops, but I love the aluminum QickSilver Hybrid fixed tip, one of my favorite tops. The orange Jumbo Cobra is bearing, it is the same except for the larger bearing tip assembly.

I got to be honest with you and I think I’ve been pretty honest so far. I absolutely love the cobras. I probably could have not even bought the Alice or the yoyo factories and just went for these $15 cobras. To be honest, if they throw awesome they work well. They’re solid. They fit great in my hand. The yoyo factory ones have this weird shape to him that I don’t really like the cobras just feel fantastic and I actually regret buying the yoyo factory once. I may even regret a little bit buying the alice. We’ll have to see when I get better how that one plays.

And now that I found that new throwing style. I’m in love. I’ve had a cobra in my hand the last 3 days now. I was actually outside for the last 2 hours practicing the boomerang and I’m doing really well at it. I’ve actually got it up in my hand. I’m having a little bit of a hard time like when it starts to get out bad it’s getting it rebalanced.

I honestly think this is my opinion that the yoyo factory ones were a waste of money when I could have just got these cobras I’m in love with them.

And that pink one is pretty dope. I kind of wish I got a pink one cuz I don’t like the color blue
