I low-key hate using pinwheels. It makes me low-key cringe when somemone takes more than 2 pin-wheels before a trick.
They’ll probably say “it’s to control the velocity of the incoming yoyo”… but if you need to, just do one.

You know when you use a 5A yoyo and the string around the bearing becomes super loose? (if you don’t have a bearing cw) DO PINWHEELS
Pinwheels help tighten the string around the bearing if the string is too loose there. Also when putting on a string it is good to start with pinwheels since you untwisted the end of the string before putting it on the yoyo.
