When I was 17 and was adoring Tom Kuhn yoyos so much that I wanted to put their logo on all my shorts and shirts, I would have given anything to be able to work for them.
Today there is HSPIN, I am very keen on working with more talented people to make HSPIN an even better yoyo maker.
Reminder: the HSPIN NETWORK is a platform for trusted individuals to contribute to HSPIN with hands-on support. This is NOT only for competitors, but also for video makers (Gaberus, Plamek, Magl33to, Noel, Shinya etc.), designers (Jet, Krisgoat), prototype design contributors (Gaberus, Shpek, Magl33to, Samm, Shinya, Drew, Noel, Eric) online presence supporters (Lars) and so on.
After careful consideration, there are quite a few additional supporting roles that we would still want in order to be able to have experts do where experts are needed. Here are some of the exciting roles:
- Video editor
- Yoyo video maker
- HTML/PHP/Flash guru
- Graphics artist
- Fashion photographer
- Writer
- Translator (English into Japanese
- CAD Expert
- Local representative
If you are interested in applying, please send an email via this webpage’s contact form. We expect applicants to be professional and loyal in conduct, pleasant and reliable to work with and to have a positive track record in the yoyoing community. We value proactive taking of initiative, a problem solving attitude and commitment to deadlines.
If you are after making money, this is not the place. I personaly have not had a proper salary from HSPIN in the past 12 years of our existence. Hence reimbursement will be the same as for me: You can be paid in yoyos, prototypes, shirts, goods as available and appropriate, team dinners, contribution to some of the travel cost you will incur if we can afford it, free lodging if we have a team hotel room at a larger event and so on. I can personally write you letters of recommendations for future job search and university applications.
