Do you lube your bearings? (For 1A)

I’m gonna lube my Terrapin ceramic when I get home in a bit, I gotta suffer through a P.O. line first, but now I’m curious if I can quiet down that thing, because I’ve just been dealing with the noise

The secret is acetone. Its noisy as heck without it. After you get you powder on and worked in, got the grit ground down, and then put a fat drop of acetone on the balls, and spin dry. It will seem alot worse at first but gets better and better and better after about a minute or so.
That pro tip came from Mr Terrapin himself. BOmb spin time and finally quiet!

a high end design developed in china
that costs as much as $5 each. I believe yyf has been negotiating with the manufacturer to use its core specifications on their own cts, so we might see a release in the foreseeable future. there are already various accounts of how the stock bearings in yyfs most recent runs have become ‘different’

I thrash my bearings out dry for weeks. Then I give them a thorough clean and an oil lube.

They are super smooth and unresponsive after this treatment.

Here ya go!

OK, here’s what Mr. Difeyo sez (short version)…
