Quick announcement for anyone in the Washington, DC area looking to come to yo-yo club! DMV Throwers meets once a month in Arlington, VA and we have a meet coming up at the end of April. If you are local please join the group below to be a part of our club!
Just a quick reminder bump that we have a meet up today
It was a great meet up. Met some new folks. Gave away a few skill toys and just had an overall great time.
Good meet up this month. I was very slow but held in there. It was nice meeting some new folks @GCabral21 it was great to meet you. Sorry I was a tad out of it hope to see you at the next.
This month was a bit off cause I didn’t put the word out but we got a couple of walk ins and I got some folks into YoYo’s and a kid from last time I gave a shutter came back.
Also have a table for a community picnic at the end of the month and I’ll be showing off YoYo’s to the local community.
I should get my printer working and see if I can print some give away stuff prior.

It was a pleasure meeting you Brandon! I had a feeling it didn’t go as planned but at least I got to meet a good few people that are into YoYoing. I may consider showing up to the picnic which I have it put on my calendar just in case. I usually let my family know where I’m going before I head over especially on such a distance of a drive. But we’ll see how it goes!

I’m planning to properly announce the next few things I was a tad out of it due to my surgery but I’m slowly getting more coherent and stronger.
Okay I officially have a table for the YoYo club x DMV Throw for the Arlington library picnic on May 31st 11am-3pm est.
I will be bringing a bunch of free super cheap yo-yos and to give away to folks interested and showing folks how to yoyo.

Also next regular club meet up is June 15th 1-4pm and we plan to be outside weather permitting in the park by the playground outside of the library.

Also I’m collecting super cheap give away throws for end of the month picnic. If anyone has any suggestions or cheap options I’m open to anything. I’ve got a few leads but figured I would put it out there.

Every time I skim by this topic I read DMV as department of motor vehicle yoyo club, and I forget it has nothing to do with long lines and taking numbers.

Sadly a tad far for me to travel on a regular basis however I am working with a few folks to figure out a club a tad west of Richmond closer to Charlottesville which would be an hour closer than Arlington and Va beach clubs. Sadly no one in RVA I’ve talked to has the time or desire to run a local club I can help get going and I don’t have the bandwidth to run both areas myself I would need someone else to be primary organizer.
I love the idea though. I want more club options in VA and I see all the people who ask about clubs and are just a tad too far to make the ones that exist work.
I know @Ironwindow has been talking about a North Carolina club too probably just as far as Arlington when it gets going but stuff is getting worked on slowly as time allows

Either 15th or 22nd we are looking at which makes more sense and will confirm before end of this week but right now it’s assumed 15th outdoors
