DM2 Speed bearing

Two bearings come with a DM2. A thin one and a large one. The large one is called a speed bearing according to the YYE specs. So if I wanted to replace it would I get the YYJ Speed bearing? This question sounds stupid but I’ve always thought that the thinner bearing was called the responsive bearing. Now I’m just confused.

You can replace it with any C sized bearing. I am going to order a One Drop 10 Ball sometime for mine.

The narrow bearing is the responsive bearing. It makes for a narrower gap so you can easily tug it to come back. With the wider bearing… wider gap and not as easy to tug back up (but still doable. I guess I need to wear down the response pads more).

yup, like longshot said, any c-sized bearing, and while the speed bearing is pretty nice I think a very underrated bearing is the crucial grooved bearing I got one with my a la mode and I absolutely love it! IMO it’s the best string centering bearing there is.

I was a cheerleader for the crucial 2 bearings. I loved them. I did not like flat bearings really. Then I took the bearing out of the Dang and dropped it in other throws including the DM2. Now I am divorcing the crucial bearings in favor of the 10 balls. Even my chinese knockoffs feel sweet with the 10 ball. Those I kept crucial 2’s in them.
